About Mark Kraszewski

A recent transplant to Brooklyn, NY, Mark Kraszewski is an educator and performer who plays in a wide range of styles.  He has had the opportunity to play with artists including Michael Olatuja, E.J. Strickland, Marcus Strickland, Leo Genovese, Eddie Daniels, Bobby Millitello, Craig Brann, Sean Conly, Gene Segal, George Caldwel and Leo P.  Dr. Kraszewski has played at venues such as Shapeshifter Lab, Sony Music Hall, S.O.B’s, DROM, Symphony Space and Heinz Hall, as well as international venues such as Tokyo City Opera Hall and the National Theater and Concert Hall in Taipei. 

Dr. Kraszewski received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Eastman School of Music, as well as his Master’s and Bachelor’s degree (with high distinction). He has held teaching positions as Lecturer at the College Music Department of the University of Rochester, where he taught jazz studies, and at Cornell University, where he was the classical saxophone instructor.

Dr. Kraszewski has given performances and master classes at various schools including Nazareth College, Hobart College, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Baldwin Wallace Conservatory, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and Cedar Valley College, amongst many others,  and has been invited to give classical and jazz performances and lectures at many conferences including the North American Saxophone Alliance national conference, the international saxophone symposium and the World Saxophone Congresses in Strasbourg, France and Zagreb, Croatia.
